Holly and Rodney’s  eldest son RJ has autism

 Actress Holly Robinson Peete and her husband former NFL player Rodney Peete have gathered a few of their celebrity friends to help throw a series of Super Bowl parties to benefit charity. The HollyRod Super Bowl events started on Thursday and ends on Sunday.

The Peete’s hope to raise a great deal of money for their Hollyrod Foundation, established in 1992. For the past nine years, the couple has hosted a party in whatever host city the Super Bowl landed, with proceeds going to their foundation. They have raised anywhere from $250,000 to $2 million in previous years.The Hollyrod Foundation provides medical, physical and emotional support for those suffering from debilitating life circumstances, including Parkinson’s Disease. Another charity that will benefit from the weekend events will be Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center. The Peete’s oldest son has autism.

  1. Holly, First off hello I don’t normally do things like this ( write to famoue people). I would like to thank you for opening up about your son with autism. I have never known anyone who has autism and never understood it. You and Jenny have opened my eyes to it. THank you I look to find more info about it and help out where I can .

  2. Rodney and Holly,Hi Iam a mother of an autistic child.I admire you coming to public about Autism. Most people dont know how monster Autism is and how it changes your life style. Frastrated in Canada.Please talk about this topic in Oprah and more people can donate money for research.God bless.
