TRACY MCGRADY PAYS $54,156 IN CHILD SUPPORT PAYMENTS

Houston Rockets NBA player Tracy McGrady must pay $54,156 a year in child support payments for a daughter he fathered when he was in a committed relationship with his present wife. The amount is far less than the $204,000/year that a Bradentown woman named Pearl Vega thought would be more appropriate with McGrady’s $21.6 million salary. Pearl Vega argued to a judge back in December 2007 that she would like her daughter to have a lifestyle equal to McGrady’s other children with his wife Clarenda. Pearl says that her daughter(b. November 2005) deserves a lifestyle of tutors,private schooling,Private jets, and expensive clothes,saying that McGrady at one time spent $45,000 per month on personal travel alone. Judge Donna Berlin,however, recently ruled that Vega just wants to enhance her own lifestyle stating that “It is inappropriate for Ms. Vega to use child support as a means to further her education when she chooses to attend college as a full-time student and expect Mr. McGrady to pay for tuition, a full-time nanny and other domestic help.”
McGrady is still married to his wife Clarenda Harris.McGrady and his wife were together eight years before marrying in 2006. The couple share a six-bedroom, 23,000-square-foot house with their children daughter Layla Clarice(born Jan 25, 2003) and a son Laymen Lamar, (born December 27, 2005).
All these gold diggin woman trying to make a profit of their children. That is so wrong to use her kids!!!
This is why we don’t stray from our partners. What looks good to you is not always good for you. You would think that people would learn that after all the other horror stories. He’s lucky all he has to pay is child support. He could have paid with his life. A.I.D.S. is rampant.

As far as him he needs to stay true to his wife from now on and let all those hoes be just that. If u have a good woman at home let that love in the sheets stay between you’ll. And if he wants to stay and be with them ladies let his butt go and collect that paper. Aids is a foever reminder!!
They are both at fault here, he is married and should not be messing around with other women, she for messing around with a married man. The victims here are his wife and all children involved, including the one out of wedlock, they didnt ask to be brought into this situation.
He was not a married man when that child concieved.
Online you are correct, although the article contradicts itself, it says he had a child out of wedlock. Wedlock:the state of being married; matrimony. He did technically have this child before he got married in 2006 and one month before his current wife gave birth to his second child with his current wife. Sounds like there was still some infedelity on his part going on.

I feel for the child because I think mom is looking soley at the $$$$. It makes it hard for mother’s who are just trying to get enough to share in the cost of raising a child.
Glad the judge said no. Id love $54,000 per year, & Pearl Vega is getting that for just child support! On top of what she’ll eanr herself(I hope her *ss is working after all).

The best part about these stories is a lot of women who go and have babies, think they are winning, but end up losing in the end. One woman I know went and had a kid by a baller and soon after he was out of the league. This woman went and had a whole lotta debt and a house she couldn’t take care of. The best part was she was educated and just like this woman she lived off the kids child support to continue to go get her phd. Lol! She lost her cars, and home and looked like a straight fool!!!! These Gold Diggers should realize its not a good investment. Now she is a single mother with a regular child support payment. Dumb dumb dumb.
Tracy is wrong for messing around after being with someone for so long and instead of taking it all out on this Vega woman, he should be condemned for his actions to. We should all remember that it takes 2!!!
My opinion may not be a popular one but here goes. I would like to know what evidence was introduced that would cause the judge to say she wanted his $$# solely to further her education. Absent that quote, I see no reason why Pearl’s daughter shouldn’t have what his other children have. Even if Pearl wasn’t using the $$$ to further her education (which is not a bad thing, because the more she can make with a degree, the better for her and the child), her child should still get equal what his other children get. Even if she worked full time and didn’t spend a dollar of his child support money on herself, it’s highly unlikely that she could afford private tutors and private jets, etc. for her child. So, if his other children get that, so should Pearl’s. As a recent law graduate, I’m somewhat disappointed. It’s not enough for one child just to get ‘the basics (food, clothing, shelter, etc.) while his other children live in the lap of luxury.
